This post is funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund for up to a 3 year contract, the successful candidate will have to complete a six month probationary period. The hours of work are 37 hours per week (flexible hours), Salary - £27,945 pa and optional pension scheme available. This person will be responsible for the development and co-ordination of the existing SPS service provision, will supervise the work of the two full time workers, the training undertaken by SPS staff and deliver some of the SPS services. They will be responsible for liaising with SPS’ current funding providers, gathering necessary evidence to meet the monitoring criteria and will conduct additional fundraising for any other activities that SPS decides to engage in. This person will be responsible for providing feedback to the SPS committee and liaise with other statutory and voluntary organisations to develop networking and a co-ordinated approach. This person will be fluent in English and Polish, knowledge of other Eastern European languages would be an advantage. They will have previous experience of working with migrant communities, be familiar with their needs and understand their problems. They have to be familiar with producing a newsletter and committed to the social and community integration of newly arrived migrants.
